The County of Haliburton is the approval authority to process and approve plans of condominium and subdivision. If you're looking to divide land in the County of Haliburton, please contact us to book an appointment, before submitting your application.
Applications
- Application for Plan of Subdivision/Plan of Condominium
- Application for Condominium Exemption
- The link to the application for a Plan of Subdivision/Plan of Condominium as well as the application for Condominium Exemption are not available at the moment. Planning staff are in the process of converting the application form into an accessible document. A copy of the application can be made available to you by contacting the Planning Department by calling phone number 705-286-1333.
If your development is for the creation of multiple new properties, a Plan of Subdivision/Condominium will be required. The County of Haliburton is the approval authority for these applications, and it is our Council who makes the final decision.
The Planning Department can assist you through this process. We will arrange a meeting with staff of the local municipality where the land is located. This will help you get an idea of whether the proposal may be possible, and what supporting information be required.
Studies and Supporting Information
Studies must be undertaken by qualified firms, and submitted to the County for peer review. Developers are responsible for the cost of the County's peer review, and this fee is separate from the application fee.
Supporting information may include a copy of approvals or permits from other agencies. An example is a letter from a local septage hauler or demolition permit from the municipality.
