Accessibility
The County of Haliburton is dedicated to creating a community where all people have equal opportunity to live, visit, raise a family, work and retire. We're committed to complying with the legislated codes and standards to be able to achieve this. This includes the Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and the Accessibility for Ontarians' with Disability Act (AODA).
Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee
The County of Haliburton along with their member Municipalities have created a Joint Accessibility Advisory Committee. The Committee assists and provides guidance in working towards a barrier free community. They help to developing guidelines that will meet the needs of all our residents to make our communities accessible for all. The 2023 - 2027 Multi-Year Joint Accessibility Plan is available at this link or in the Documents and Resources section below.
