The County of Haliburton Council Members are paid per diems for all meetings attended and their council related expenses are reimbursed.
Council remuneration provides an incentive for community members to hold public office and shows appreciation for those that dedicate their time and energy to the work of County.
Section 284 of the Municipal Act, 2001, requires annual reporting for remuneration and expenses paid to each member of Council by March 31 of the following year. These reports are below:
