County of Haliburton Appoints New Chief Administrative Officer/Clerk
As Warden, I am very Pleased to announce the hiring of Gary Dyke as the next Chief Administrative Officer/Clerk (CAO) for the County of Haliburton.
After a lengthy search and robust competition, County Council is pleased to welcome Gary to our team and to the County of Haliburton.
Mr. Dyke brings with him over 30 years of experience in the Municipal field, successfully holding senior roles with a focus on Operations, Strategic Planning, and Legislative services just to name a few.
Gary has served on the board of directors for the Ontario Municipal Administrators’ Association (OMAA) for 10 years – serving as President from 2017-2018; the AMO Board of Directors as Secretary-Treasurer 2020 – 2022; the
International City Managers Association (ICMA) Ethics Committee; and as a municipal advisor to the World Council on City Data.
We are fortunate to have Gary join our team as the new CAO. His demonstrated commitment to community services, municipal efficiencies, organizational skills, and proven successes as a leader will serve out community well.
Gary will be starting with the County of Haliburton on November 08, 2023. Please join Council and the members of staff in welcoming Gary to his new role.
