CONTRACT NO. 2021-8-a THE REHABILITATION OF APPROXIMATELY 5.1 KILOMETRES OF RURAL ROADWAY

LOCATION:
Part A (3.7km) County Road No. 3 (Glamorgan Road) Rehabilitation of Rural Section of Roadway Commencing at Highway 118, heading south approximately 3.7km.

Part B (0.7km) County Road No. 7 (Kennisis Lake Road) Rehabilitation of Rural and Semi-urban Section of Roadway Commencing at north side of bridge, heading north approximately 0.7km.

Part C (0.8km) County Road No. 8 (Kawagama Lake Road) Rehabilitation of Rural Section of Roadway Commencing at Highway 35, heading north to County Road No. 12.

SCOPE OF WORK:
Without limiting the generality of the contract, the work comprising the contract consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

Part A

 Pulverization of the existing road surface 150mm, re-shaping/grading and compaction of the road
way cross-section,
 The placement of quarried granite granular ‘A’ to the road base, shoulders and granular
entrances, compacted and shaped to desired cross-fall, and placement of final shouldering
material,
 The supply and placement of 50mm compacted depth of HL4 hot mix asphalt,
 Approximate Quantities:

 HL4 Surface Coarse 4,080 tonnes
 Granular A Road Base 630 tonnes
 Gran A Shouldering/Ent 455 tonnes
 In-place Processing 33,300 m2

Part B & C

 The milling of the existing road surface to a depth of 50mm and reshaping/grading and compaction of the roadway cross section.
 The supply and placement of 50mm compacted depth of HL4 hot mix asphalt.

 Cold Milling (50mm depth) 12,800 m²
 HL4 Surface Coarse 1,654 tonnes
 HL4 Entrances/Side Roads 121 tonnes
 Granular A Shouldering/Ent 185 tonnes
 Asphalt Gutter 292 m
